Malani
Malani
represents a Beduin girl from the north of Africa. She is dressed in
the clothes of her tribe. The ornaments she wears are in part original and made of
real silver.
Her porcelain hands and feet are decorated with original handpainted
motives.
Her head, which is beautifully jointed under her chin, underarms and legs from
the knee down are made of the finest porcelain.
She has a black wig
made of real human hair and brown crystal glass eyes.
Christa Canzio gave her a cloth body that has a wire armature so that
it is flexible. Malani has a beautiful expression with her large black
real eyelashes and slightly open mouth.
She is dressed in black trousers with hand dyed terracotta coloured silk
decoration and
she wears a hand dyed terracotta coloured silk top. Her lower legs are
covered with terracotta striped antique silk brocade. She has a large
cape from the same
material.
Around her arms she wears terracotta striped silk bands decorated with
silver ornamants and orange-red beads.
Her
jewelry is made of extremely nice silver, glass beads and earthenware
beads.
In her hair she has a leather band decorated with antique embroidery.
